Combines head for my l2

I have heard nothing but complaints from folks with head adapters because that little bit of extra space causes all kinds of feeder plugging. There are outfits that modify newer heads to fit l_M machines but I dont have any first hand experience with them. Tom in MN

I run a JD 920 flex on l2,works great! Bish adapter (new style) with sliding pin to lock head, old style bolts head to adapter. Adjust fingers on auger like gleaners,JD table auger fingers are extended to feed feeder house chain, gleaners are retracted. Fingers on auger rotating up, beater rotating down.A source of plugging. JD corn head auger might contact tips of feeder beater fingers (just retract them) The new JD corn head already has U-joint on driveshafts making adapting even easier.I always wondered why Gleaner JD International didn't make heads hookups as easy as 3-point hitches! It would make resale better for everything.
