Combines Head interchangeability

No, not without MAJOR sugery. The throat would have to be cut out wider, top hooks and bottom hooks moved, drive shaft shortened 1 foot and auger flight trimmed back to clear F's feeder beater fingers. IF one had a F junk header the throat could be cut out and welded in the K and transplant the drive shaft.. lots of work....

From what I remember from those days there is a considerable difference in the size of the feeder house opening I imagine mounting it would be a challenge also. If you are handy enough with a torch and welder I'm sure it could be done but with the added work why not buy one ready to go the are plenty out there.

yes, correct , however you will have to cut your filler plates or buy new one$. W_O it will leave a gap. 70586115, 70586116 . Just line up the sprocket and make sure the correct 13-25 tooth is on the F2 or the double 13 if VS head drive.

Thanks Tbran, so if I simply remove the fillers the throat is still too wideIJ I guess I shouldn't have assumed that the head was designed for F series and adapted to K series, thanks for the heads up, no pun intended :)

I know of a person that might have a set of fillers and deflectors for your head. He parted out a black wide row head that was on a F2. I will email you his phone number if you wish. Also don't forget about the bottom hooks.

First thing, if you have the 23.1 x 26 tires, the tread width will be to wide. 430 just does get the tracks out. Just my $.02, Greg
