this thing works off an ohm range, not a on off type sender. Plug and unplug the spade a few times and make sure it clips on tight. look where the wire exits the flywheel side of the engine for a bare place. Follow to the eng harness connector and check that this is good and clean as well. If all else fails run a new wire to the tattle tale module. These things can drive one to drink and they need to work correctly.
