Combines header cutout

I had the same problem when I plugged in my bag phone into the cigarette lighter, everytime the phone would ring my header would quit. Just too much voltage drop on that circuit. If you run wires from the battery it won't do it. Originally I had poked around in the harness and found a hot wire and tied my radio into it. Turned out it was the parking brake wire and whenever I set the brake the radio quit. I then mounted the radio the way you are supposed to and I got the header problem. Some newer radio's take less power and may work fine. I never tried it but I bet you could tie into the light circuit and be fine.

John Deere made available a new card to go in the armrest to eliminate the header cutout. Before you spend that money, move your antennae back to the engine Compartment, using a antenna cable extension. This you can run out the door. There is a cutout area in the doorframe under the seal to bring the cable out.

Do you have a part number for that armrest circuit boardIJ Thanks

Check the single point ground in the RH rear of the cab. Take off the panel on the outside of the cab where the wire harnesses go through. It is under and back of the vent hose. Seen a few loosen up, and all sorts of odd things happen.
