Can't remember who idea it was ( I think Tbran got it on his web site!) but it's the pipe that runs along the front just behind the cutter bar, I used 65 mm outside OD PVC poly pipe and used some 25 mm by 250 mm flat 2 mm with a 10 or 12 mm hole in one end, these were then bolted to the the top of the feather sheet holed down strip, I used 5 strips to hold down the pipe. I then bent the flat hold down strips up and over the pipe, I bent the strips forward so as to stop it from going back in to the front, I used a large set of what I call Multy Grips to help clamp it around the pvc pipe a bit better. You will find that the little gap under the pipe fills up with wheat heads and straw but I found that it's no problem.

Thanks for the idea. Did this to my flexhead for cutting short soybeans. Idea was from this web site. It worked wonderful, nearly doubled the ground speed for the combine. Used a piece of three inch flexible hose and three inch conduit clamps. I use a rigid 30 foot or 10 meter head for cutting wheat. I'm assuming this would work also for a rigid head. Would speeding the auger up help tooIJ Think you mentioned something about doing that. like putting a 22 teeth sprocket instead of an 18 on the drive. Thanks for your help!! Also curious how do you get to some the websites like Hyper and TbranIJ Brian
