If you are pulling it that would be one thing, if you are looking just to store it on inside that is easy . Go buy an old running gear for 50 bucks and mount a couple of long timbers on it and you should be good to go. Hard to spend 2000 dollars on a trailer for a head worth not much more based on my own circumstances also.

unless you have to road the head a lot go with the running gear. it's cheap. watch out though. we have trouble getting our flex head off of the combine onto the running gear w_ high tires on the wagon. corn head is no problem

Go get an old straight axle off a pickup or bigger car. You can put springs on it or just weld pipe to it. Put tire back far enough to clear feederhouse. You can back it into any shed very easily. You are in like flint with a little under $100. Keeping the bearings and sections out of the weather will pay for it in a year or so.

The Maurer seems like a nice trailer. The one's I've looked at have Tricycle Front tires and a single rear Torsion Flex Axle. I'm interested if the location is reasonable. Please send me an email. Thanks, Mike

I have a Mauer header trailer to transport my JD925 and 643 headers. I live the Dallas TX metroplex and transport down busy streets and freeways. It is stable and with the spring loaded axles it does not bounce or wobble. The 5th wheel type steering axle also makes it easy to put it in the shed in tight places.
