The first thing you need to do is see if you have power at th lift solenoid on the valve stack when you push your switch. The nut that holds the solenoid on should be magnetized when activated. If you have all of this the problem is in the valve stack. It could be the pieces inside the solenoid or further in the header lift valve. It could depend also on which header lift valve you have on your 1680. Trying to tell you what piece is bad is impossible unless you are familar with these valves. Contact your dealer, good luck

My suggestion id that you try to eliminate electrical problems by using a jumpe wire from 12 volt source to the solinoid. Next pull out the spool and check for damaged or missing 0 rings. There are two in there and are easily replaced.I fought a similar problem for 3 weeks this summer. It was finally easily fixed after several experts worked on it.

Our tr 86 had similar problems. Electrical was the cause. As stated jumper wire to stack valve will confirm or eliminate this. Its the first place to look. We also have a lot of problems with relaysIJ behind the seat. Traced this to a poor ground to the master relay(i think). Test light wouldn't show it but a digital meter would. Still have some problems with it as somtimes all systems in the cab will go out and restart.
