Combines Headline on corn

I sprayed Headline with a ground rig on 12 ft tall corn right at the tassel stage with a foliar feed of nitrogen. The corn looks great considering we are 18 inches below normal on rainfall here in west TN. Pulled some ears and at 90,000 kernals_bushel (which I doubt will happen theis year) it showed about 180 bu_acre. no damage that I could see. This is on pioneer 33G68 FYI. Early beans (GRP III) in this area are yielding high teens and low 20's. Cutting them a month earlier than usual

My headline corn, airplane applied, looks great. I was told not to ground apply if the tassel was out because it might break off. I have a test trip and will report the difference. My late group 2 beans will cut in 2 weeks, planted April 21. They look good but time will tell. late weeds are coming but not yield robbers, just rotor thumpers. We are on the edge of drought in Central IN but recently had some rain for the double crop beans.

I have heard the same thing. Some corn sprayed early is a disaster.
