I installed Gordon rotor bars and helical concaves before harvest last year. The cancaves came with 2 cover plates. I used the cover plates and had the beat luck I have ever had threshing beans. We had 11% beans with green pods all the way to pods that just popped. My capacity in corn was excellent with no rotor loss. Did have some trouble with trash filling a few places in the cancave, not sure if I was setting something wrong or just because there are no wires in the concaves. The cover plates were dafinitely worth it and new concaves were a great improvement but I changed to many things at one time to be able to say that the helical concaves were worth it. Didn't hurt and the price was nerely the same. Sorry for the long answer and maybe didn't help any. Steve
