Help me find decent farm shoes

It doesn't matter if they're mud shoes or western boots, I just want a pair that is comfortable to work in. A pair I can scuff up and get around the muck without having to worry too much. I bought a pair of rain boots that I thought were high quality due to their price, but the soles are already coming detached.

My wife usually wears her L.L. Bean duck boots when she's working out here. I know the brand name because she's frugal and was upset at the price. She talked about it for ages. I think she spent weeks reading reviews before she finally decided to buy them. Although they're pricey, she's had them for several years, so they seem worth the upfront cost.
