I think this is another case of the old saying, "There ain't no free lunch." Chopping fresh, probably juicy, corn stalks takes lots of power. That is why they put 500 hp engines on forage harvesters. And most combines, especially rotaries don't have any power to spare. They are also not designed to deliver the power to the header needed to chop stalks. So I guess its go slow if you want to do two jobs at once.

I'm running a PC also on a TR 98, no lack of power, but I'm breaking knives usually about 4-5 per 35 acres, I'm running arround 4.5-5.0 mph. maybe to fastIJ its a 6 row head. also today the header drive belt rolled over {HowIJ} What RPM do you run the HeadIJ I was told to run the driven shaft at 650rpm. does that sound okIJ would some day like to have a new series. have a good day.
