Combines Help With AFS GPS signal Australia

GPS alone should be good enough for yield mapping certainly not worth $2000 if your not going to use the signal for any other purpose. Somewhere in the setup menu there is an option to turn off the beep the procedure is listed in the manual but i don't have one to hand here. There seems to also have been a few problems with subscriptions this year so it might be an idea to make sure you have had your 12months......

To DJG, won't this procedure mean that all alarms on the monitor will be turned offIJ

DJG I have tried this action but it only silenced the header height alarm as intended. The alarm for the GPS continues every ten seconds.

Blue, if I remember right, when Case switched to version 3.3.0.0 software for the yeild monitor with the start of 2001 production machines, one of the new features of this software was the ability to turn off the GPS alarm if you wanted to. If you know someone in Australia with a Case service tool, they could download the new software into your old monitor so you can have this new feature. Good luck

The one that i was involved with was a 2001 combine this might explain the problem!

Thanks SDman the version on my moniter is 2.2.0.0, it is a 2000 model combine. The dealer here in Oz has the tool for update but they think that I need to run new software on my computer, they are ckecking it out. It would be nice for free updates for machines that are only 1 season old but that's what I am hoping for anyway. We have started harvesting canola on the new south wales_victoria border yesterday but 7 mm of rain last night. I guess i'll have time to catch up on swathing those late canola crops now. Anyway thank's.
