I am a bit confused with your use of the word "fines" as you describe it, in the return. Needs more wind to me. We use R-72 and use full wind for soybeans, and run top chaffer as wide as needed to assure no beans are blown out (app. 5_8" or more). It's almost a must to have the returns to cylinder option on your machine.

G'Day doug@So.Il. Might pay to check the little flappy thing in the top of the repeats elevator!!! as this can be half way between the rollers and the return to cylinder!!! so don't just slide the repeats lever up or down! get up on top of the sheet tin on the top of the radiator and take off the inspection hole tin, and have a look down, you should fine some of those over centre catches holding down the top of the repeats lid, whip it off and just check to see that the flap that directs the material either to the roller's or the cylinder is in the correct position!!!! I have had that flappy thing not move even after I have slid the lever for it, up or down!!! it can also get stuck half way between the two and this can cause the repeats to always block on me!!
