I got 175$ from a neighbor two years ago to run 10 acres of corn, he used my wagons but he hauled them to town. I charged him 140$ cause I wanted the work but he paid me 175$, good deal I thought. Usually I make 100 break 200$ but not that time....

I have a three thousand dollar small combine that sits 11 months out of the year. If I can drive a mile or two and make two hundred bucks with it I figure that is worth it. Trying to get some more out of my initial investment, it works out ok if I don't breakdown, if I do break I just patch it up and figure that saved me a breakdown running my crop. Maybe twisted logic but it works for me. I don't think I would feel the same if I had a R-65 or something that actually cost alot of money tho :)

I'd look for the guy paying highest cash rent to get all the ground and see if he'd do it for nothing. He's used to it.
