Combines Hesston plant tour

Deere Blues, I toured the plant about a year ago. It's a very clean and impressive place. I worked there the first winter I was out of high school, 1964 and 65. At that time, if I remember correctly, there were two buidings. Fabrication and assembly, now they have close to a quarter section under roof. How many combines are they putting out per day nowIJ K.A.

I'm hoping to get down to Kansas this winter, how does one go about getting a tourIJ Do they run them when ever someone (group) is interested or are they scheduled at one time of the yearIJ Thanks for any help.

They don't look any differently than an 8780xp, except for cab modifications. Why don't you ever see Deere and CIH combines sitting at Massey_Gleaner lots following trades for these brands of AGCO combinesIJ I don't think its awareness, positive or negative, either. I have always wondered this. Our AGCO dealers never have a red or green combine on their lot unless it is a third or fourth owner looking for a deal.

They said that they are building 4 to 5 aday at present time . Twice as many Gleaners as Massey's but expecting that to change as soon as Gleaner custom cutter order's are filled.

I was there in September it was impresive, and I think they make 140 different pieces of equipment there.
