Morning boy's!!! Were actually getting some wet stuff here (3.5 inches for the year so far!!)and it's a bit cool for this time of year (25 to 27 degree's C here!) Should be 35+ here and dry 10 to 15 % humidity!!! Harvest off and done in Mid January as we only had lentils and Wheat and only started the lentils on the of 10th December as everyone of my neighbors were into there barley two weeks before me!!! lentils were a bit green from a frost (seed ripe stems Green) Wheat WEll!!!!! how about 120 metric tons off 387 hectares (around a 1000 acres!) Flex front on the ground and mulched the stubble with the old dear which polished it up nicely for us to jump in and try some more CID's out on the old Girl (Sharon (wife) used to like saying to her girlfriends when we had the N7 that I was out with Alice!!!! but it's a bit hard to do that now with Gleaner!!!) Anyway, another year I would very much like to forget! (sorry winge session) I wonder how many you guy's could make much of a living on 9 inches of water a year on heavy black ground!!! haven't been above 11 inches for over 8 years (rain fall that is!!!!!) This is the make or break year for us Im sorry, we realy have our pencil to dam sharp!!! Rolf PS: (Helping Sharon doing the books at the moment so were on an economy drive at the moment!!)

Hmm, kind of makes my badmouthing look trivial. It has to be a love of the land and life style over common sense proftiablilty. But then what are the rulesIJ The one with the most $ and toys at death winsIJ No, it is the enjoyment of the process. Supposedly the wisest man to live, Soloman, stated that 'all is vanity'. He tried to find peace with wealth, wisdom and women (really bad choice) but finally stated that the enjoyment of the day to day job of being who he was what he was content in being. I guess sharpening the old pencil, as long as it writes, is still a worthwhile exercise, huhIJ But then I digress to philosophy, not my forte,, Chin up, it could be worse, don't you hate it when someone sates thatIJ We wish you and Sharon much better years ahead.

Your not alone Rolf, the rain has been very patchy up here in South East Queensland, good in some places but sad in a lot of others. The crops around home trying to bust head in dry 40C+ temperatures. We are sick of saying this year will be better. John

The old joke here is that there was a farmer who won a million dollars in a lottery. When asked what he was going to do with his windfall he said, "just farm till the money is all gone."

may the lord bless your operation this year. I really believe good times for agriculture are just getting ready to begin.
