Big big farming outfit close to me that has thier own shop and does alot of thier own rebuilding of machines with fabricating from raw steel owned 3 or 4 of those 9700 rotory whites. Ex father in law worked for this outfit and last I heard from him before they decided to upgrade was the one machine had over 9000 hours on it. I'm impressed to say the least. Something like that would turn my head the other way without a thought. I often wrinkle my nose when I think of a combine with over 3000 hours.

Just like me you have been around them Masseys too much (smile). The thought of running and owning a combine over 2,000 hrs used to make me sick too until we started running a different brand. We would always traded our combines when the hours got to around 1,000 or 1,500. I could see my old man turning over in his grave when I bought our 1982 8820 that had 2,200 hrs. It has almost 4,000 now.

We have a case international with 6900 hours on it. the only probelems weve really have with it is the shaft that runs the gear for the feeder house pick up chain cracked so we got it prfessionally welded twice and last year we combined 2 weeks after we got it welded the 2nd time and it s holding up. Our winter wheat is almost ready so we want to get a new machine but i guess we will have to do our wheat with the case ih.

KKS is corn soybean special. Just like F corn soy special serial number starts out FKS. I have short back K2 but the long walker version is supposed to have much more capacity. Hope this helps.

We have a 79 l2 with over 5000 hours on the engine and 3993 seperator hours. Never had to put a hydro in yet and the motor has never been overhauled. It has been an excellent combine since we got it 5 years ago. I guess it is all how they are taken care of by the guy who had the machine before you.

Hub International had a good F3 (they are in Port Perry should be near you) I looked at it decent with 1770 hrs, asking $22,000--They got a cash buyer so my deal to trade the F2 did not go throgh. I did feel that mine was in as good if not a bit better then the F3,ther are lots of F2's and F3's around, good ones are getting hard to find, after all, they are 20 to 30 years old. Ben

I have a F2 with over 5000 hours on the sepator meter when it quit about 5 years ago. I figure that it has many more on it now. I still use this machine as my second combine now. I have a F3 with over 2500 hours now. John
