high wire is best. It has 3_4" spacing center to center the low wire is a wheat grate mainly and has a 1_2" wire spacing. Many 1_2 spacing grates are running with every other wire out for a 1" spacing then run filler strips for wheat. Some even weld a cut piece of wire to the top of the exixting wire for a super high wire grate. The wider spacing allows grain and expecially cob to go thru and this increase capacity and lower hp requirements
