It depends what size tires does it have hopper topper and how high that is do you want to fold it down or leave it upIJ

We have 1680 with cummins an long shoe,, which is same thing as 88 series, Our barn was 13ft 6 in, to header, We have hopper flare extensions, we removed about 4 inches of dirt, right under header to make it shy 14 ft, an I clear going in by about 2 inches clearance between header an hopper ext

build your shed with a 16ft clearence and be done you won't regret it, if you work on it out of the rain you won't hit your head as much!!!!!!!!

I have 1992 1680 with 30.5-32 tires on the front and 18.4-26 on the rear with a regular Maurer extension and I have a 15 ft high door and there is not a lot of room to spare,combine is around 14ft6in.I would not build a shed with less then 15ft high Door.My building is uphill from my driveway,so it makes extension a little higher as I go thru the door.

Mine will clear a 13'8" door, but if you would pull the hydro back too fast it would wipe-out the exhaust and air cleaner! I agree build a 16' building and you won't regret it. CW

When not farming, I work for a construction company. Almost all machine sheds for farmers are 16' tall and the forward thinking ones are making theirs 18' tall(they can drive in without folding the big extensions). My shed is 14' tall and I actually broke the light bulb by the door the first year I had the 1680(it only clears by 6").

Our shop ceiling has 14' of clearance and our 2366 with a Maurer hopper extension clears it by less than two inches. When we build a new shop it will have 18' tall doors, may seem like over kill now but so did our current shop with 14' doors 20 years ago.

We built our shop with a 15' high door but the concrete man put the floor in at a higher grade level than I intended leaving about 14'8" of clearance. We have a 2366 with 32.5 tires and Mauer extension and have plenty of room to get it in with the extensions up. I plan on building another building within the next year or two and will go with 16' doors min. don't think that equipment will get alot taller, railroad overpasses only are required to have a 13'8" clearance and overhead powerlines are another limiting factor.
