I would like to know the same thing. The 1480 that I just bought two days ago has no improvements on the air system. The $100 Hillco sounds like the best deal if it works.
In tests with the original fan it was discovered that there is actually a vacuum in your trouble spot on the seives. The fan kit will help dramatically - it did for us. It's a pretty simple installation and does the job intended. Good purchase.
