What does a Hillco leveler do on an 8010IJ Not familiar with Hillco. Also, why does Hillco think 8010 will be out of service. we are seriously considering a JD 9860, CR970, or an 8010. After comparing and demoing these units we feel the 8010 to be the best choice for us.

The Hillco levelers are needed for really steep ground for both safety from rollover and combine performance. With a 27 percent leveler and the leveling shoe you can work on really steep slopes. Go over to "ATTACHMENTS" at the left and check out the Hillco site and the pictures of hillside combines in the field. The nay saying about the 8010 is just so much sour grapes or idle talk IMHO.

Dingo, I would like to assure you that Hillco does not believe the 8010 will be out of service anytime in the forseeable future. We are moving ahead with development of the new leveling system which will be in the field operating (2-3 machines) by next summers harvest. We are excited to take on this new project. Also look for our new sidehill version of our JD STS package. It was running this summer and fall and has performed well. We will be releasing it for sale this winter. Thanks
