I am not familiar with the details about a NH combine but have had success with a Mauer extension on our CIH combine. The extra weight doesn't seem to affect the performance of the threshing, but is noticible in other areas. You will notice the extra when driving, it makes the machine a little squirmy at extreme loads. I always use caution with larger loads, trying to be careful when crossing washouts, ditches, etc. In my opinion, you should reserve the extreme sized loads for when you need them, like when opening a field up.
