We sre in NW KS and it has been getting to 27 the last several nights. The leaves are sure burned but we are not headed yet. I have heard the wheat around Garden City does not look very good but it is not from the freeze. I don't think anyone will really know for awhile what damage was done.

We had light frost here in SC KS last Wednesday morning and a heavy frost here Saturday morning. I looked at some Overley wheat on Thursday that was fully headed and starting to bloom. That did not look good to me at all. We had light frost here this morning and may have some tomorrow morning they say. Hasn't gotten below 31 degrees here I don't think. The corn was barely dinked by the frost it seems, I'm sure it will be okay. We'll know more in a week or so on the wheat. WC

The wheat down by Garden soes look very poor. They missed some of the rains that we got earlier in the year which have made all of the difference. Spots down there were even brown!
