Hello I farm 80 miles north west of Great Falls Montana. Somebody asked if our spring wheat is showing any diseases, mine sure is, a disease where it turns blue color and browning of bottom leaves. Send rain

Southwest North Dakota, have some mustard that should be ready to harvest some time next week. Wheat is about two weeks away.

Chuck, no I'm getting it tomorrow and our lentils are at least 2 weeks away and the durum should be ready by mid August. Oh I'm from NW North Dakota by the way. No Combines going at all up here yet. crop is average to better than average. No bumper but surely can't complain. My Durum should run anywhere from 30 to 40, if it fills out good. 6 to 7 spiklets per head it seems on average. I skipped some fertilizing and boy does that stuff pale in comarison to the fertilized ground. Hope there are no surprises with the new combine. Don't worry, either way I'll be asking questions right and left Im sure as I get it ready for the field. Russ

80 miles N.W. of Great Falls is close to me. I'm about 90 NW. No red machines, two silvers. My crops all spring crops. Canola, peas, durum and Busch malt. Crops are late here........ just starting to fill. Could us a rain or more irrigation water.

OK, I am in SC Kansas and we have been done for a month. Sometimes you forget that these boards span all the geographies. Yes, we had a wheat crop this year that was all over the board. One of the oddest year that I have seen. We had some of the new Pioneer that made nearly 80 (dryland) and one 20 acre patch of Jagger we debated even cutting. On the same farm we had two patches across the driveway from each other vary by 20bpa. The good one was planet Monday night, the bad one planted Tuesday. Same fertilizer schedule, both Jagelene. One made 45 and was standing perfectly, the other made 25 and was broken over and twisted. Weather was not an issue either. Funny stuff some times........
