My grandpa has one out of an R7. I don't know if would fit an N6. He switched to the impeller after having a lot of grief with the chopper in weedy wheat. let me know if your interested and I can see what he wants for it. I'm sure he would be glad to get rid of it.

Where are you locatedIJ If you are not too far and the price is reasonable I would be interested. Winter time is a great time for a road trip. I posted my e-mail. Hopefully someone on this board can tell us if it will fit, I think it will. What year is your grandpa's R7IJ That might help, I do believe that I would need a different pulley but that should not be a problem. Pete

I think the chopper rotor and clutch set up from R7 will work but quite likely not a whole lot more. A R7 has been refined quite alot from the first N6s. You best look for a N6 of similiar age to yours than go to parts book that covers them serial numbers and see what could be different. If you don't get all the stuff to install chopper you could get a bunch of extra money invested to complete job. I would suggest to find machine closest to you and offer them $1000 for a complete chopper system to fit your machine. Chopper that fit with new chopper rotor, clutch, low hours, ect. would be worth more. Good luck.

I would think that the chopper box would bolt in , but you need a drive pulley. If the N6 and the R7 are the same, maybe you can work a trade. Do not drop the pulley, as they are not cheap. If you buy a new chopper, the drive pulley is not included. Grind a sharp edge on the 5 bolt in knives. This really helps.
