Combines How much wheat this year in your areaIJ

Hey cornman, Here in central Ga I just started my custom cutting for the year.Most of my wheat customers say that they are giong to bin it and wait for a better price.The price here is the same as you say in Alabama.I just paid $4.35 a gallon plus tax for off road diesel yesterday.I really dont know how the farmers around here are going to come out paying that for fuel plus the tripled cost of fretilizer.lOTS of beans will be planted around us with a whole lot less cotton.

Wheat acreage in West TN has tripled. Basis is $1.70 under Chicago at the river. I could have bought my fuel in January for about $2.85 but I waited thinking it would go down. Then I bought a tanker load in April for $3.39. looks like a steal now.
