Combines How old is your TRIJ

My TR85 has 2150 hours. I just replaced the engine this fall. It pushed a valve out of the valve cover. I change oil every 100 hours, but it must just run too fast. I wish it was governed at a lower RPM with a larger pulley to run the machine at the right speed. I know the engine can run just fine at 2300-2400 rpms rather than the 2650 that they have it set at. My opinion.

We have a 1986 Model TR86 combine its not that old but it has 7,400 hrs on it the engine drive train and hydro are all original the internal working parts were all replaced last year we completely gutted it and rebuilt it, and it still runs fine, has never let us down and has never had a New Holland part fail, wear out yes, but never fail. We lOVE it.

1978 TR70 belt drive ford engine , somthing over 3000 hrs. And yes it breaks down. Shelled around 400acres of corn this fall. Probably cheaper to keep running because salvage yards are our main supplier. Also run a TR 86 for beans.

My neighbor has his original TR-70 w_ cat engine. He told me yesterday that it had 37-3800 hrs on it. The elevators actually wore through. lots of other repairs,but have no intention of retiring it. They use it for all of their beans and some corn too.

we also have TR86 1986 vintage have 4600 hrs hope we can make 7400 my have to replace some of major belts next year. We do love the machine
