How To Build A Hydraulic Power Pack

I'm wondering how to build a hydraulic power pack? After seeing the price of one, it occurred to me that it might be significantly more affordable to buy the parts and put one together rather than purchasing a preassembled unit.

Need more info. What are you using it for? How much do you need to lift? What's your budget?
