After visiting the husker harvest days last year, I noticed, that all rotor combines break up the cobs more or less. Only the old JD 9600 they had up there spit the cobs out whole. It also had the cleanest sample for that reason. I've ran red, green and yellow rotors and am back to convetionals now.
I have been trying different adjustments for a couple of years on a 2188 with std rotor. I installed AFX for this fall and will have to start all over. Why do you want to keep your cobs wholeIJ I would think if grain is going in tank and cobs are clean of kernals, the broken cobs will break down faster.
