Heeeerrrrreee kitty kitty. Seriously, this has been discussed on several boards. If one can put up with the felines and the litter boxes and feed leave the cab door open and very seldom have there been any complaints. The other things you mentioned have various degrees of success. Ever had a pet chicken snake.....

We have had the same problems on an M and an l2 and last year the foam on my ceiling started to fall down. not a very good deal. As you probobly know cats do help a lot feed them a little and its best if that are not too tame but if you can feed them in the building it will help a bunch. Another thing that will help is invest in some poison called wipe out. When im done with putting the combine in the shed i just pop that door open that holds the cab filter and take it out and replace it with a couple of wipe out bags. Works great! if you have more questions feel free to email me. Good luck Brent

After harvest we vacumm the whole interior of machine out, power wash exterior. Take a couple of the tattle tales out and put moth balls in. Moth balls in side console and under buddy seat. Alot of mice and rat poison and a little antifreeze.

Our local dealer left a N' combine undisturbed for a few weeks. One of our local tree dwelling Possums, about the same size as a small dog, found a comfortable nest between the radiator and the fan. Scratch one possum! It cost a new radiator, fan belts and assorted odds and ends, plus a fire hose to wash the whole mess out. One p----d off dealer! Great hilarity amongst the troops!

Clean all the grain from the machine. This removes their food. Next, open the fuse box door on the lower console. Open the side window. Remove the cab air filter and lean it against the winshield on the floor. Open the cab door. I have cats in the shed and I have not had any problems. One problem last year, one of the mother cats gave birth to 4 kittens under the seat in the cab. But thats better than mice eating wires.
