Go to dealer and look on the parts cd in the hugger cat (6_95) and look at page 6 to see if this will help,, note the serial; number breaks for items 4 5 and 6

OK, something doesnt sound right. There isnt ussually any part of the feed floor that extends from the feed housing. the gap is filled by a part on the header. Sounds like some one added something.........VSTK

Yes, I think that the feeder house floor was possibly replaced and it is now extended down farther. That would allow the combine and flex head to match up. But if this is true and it was extended, then that means that our flex head isn't OEM, because this feeder house floor that is extended fills up that gap I mentioned on the flex head. We solved the problem by grinding down the necessary areas on the Hugger to make it fit right. It now for the most part works. I only have one question: when the locking mechanism is locked the bolt head that has the spring on it touches the feeder house framing. When we put the Hugger on, it seems to lock like it should (it feels right),but there is maybe a 1_2" gap yet between the feeder house framing and the bolt head. With corn drier than beans (which is really unusual) we decided that we had better move ahead and get something done to make it work. I think we pretty much have the problem solved except for the approx. 1_2" gap I mentioned. Thanks for the help, Ryan.

I am not sure i understand where the gap is you are concerned about. Do you have a way to e-mail a pic. One question comes to mind about the other, do you have a stainless wear plate in the front of your feeder housing still or did someone just weld in a floor and extend it out the frontIJ VSTK

Yep, that is probably it, the stainless steel wear plate. On the flex head it fills in a gap, but on the Hugger it cause a gap. It pushes the feeder house away from the head because its there. Thanks again, Ryan.
