Have always gotten along good by putting a half link in the gathering chains. Gives one more length of travel. Wished I knew someone that could rebuild spirals

I know of a few R62 owners in my area who replace the Gathering Chains every year_2000 acres on a 8_30. This became the norm in our area after a local guy ran a gathering chain thru the rotar and cage. $10,000 later it became a horror story in our area. Needless to say the local parts man retells this story every time someone comes in looking for a half link for gathering chains.

Replace chains.Double the life of upper sprockets.Check condition of front idler bearings when chains are off.
