Combines Hyd heating in R72

I'm suspecting fan if engine temp is up basically along with hydralic temp. Tell tale sign of worn blade is screaming noise coming from rotary screen area at idle or worse when reved up. Best way to check performance of fan is a water manometer. Stick the hose of water manometer threw a slot into cowling just above cylinder rocker covers. I'd expect 1" of water at 1000RPM and a minimum of 6" at 2300RPM with oil warmed up. With the water manometer you measure the distance between the two water levels for your number. Water manometers are commonly used by small engine shops. You can make your own out of a piece of plastic hose (diameter doesn't matter but you want to be able to stick it threw slot in cowling). Make a fairly sharp loop in hose at the bottom and install a few inches of water. Crank up the monster and check distance between the water levels at proper RPMs. Best of luck

is the unit equipped with RWAIJ IF it is not the fan as Dan suggested - n1 cause - check the master valve for residual current, sometimes from a faulty auto header height control, which will energize the master valve and thus heat the oil.
