Backshaft speed should be no more than 510-520. I run mine @490. I cut 5 to 6 mph and cut 450 acres in 2 days. 40 bu. beans in no-till wheat stubble and no-till cornstalks. Use the long-short coarse serrated sickel sections in cornstalks-they really work!
