Combines Hydraulic pump belt tension K2

I do not think the adjustment is mentioned in the manual. If I remember correctly you loosen the bolts on the oil reservoir tank and one pivot bolt and pull or push reservoir to get proper tension. It is really easy once you recognize the it. I first went to the hydraulic pump only to find out that was not the place to start. Sometimes you feel like an idiot once you learned how to properly to do something. Good luck

There are two bolts one behind the oil tank and one in front of the hydraulic valves. loosen one and pry down to tighten. If you move the frame backward or forward you will change the position of the valve levers.

SD-455 has it right. It is the frame housing that holds the pump, reservoir, and valve blocks that you need to loosen. Once it is loose, pry it straight down with a bar and tighten bolts without moving the frame forward or backward. The hydraulic belt must be really tight or it will slip and burn-up in no time flat.

Thanks for all the help guys, I tried loosening the pump and that didn't get it done. How tight is too tight, I am quite tight right now but was just afraid I would ruin the pump if I didn't do something different.

If you can push the belt in more than a 1_8" half way between the pulleys it is not tight enough. These pumps have heavy bearings, I've never had a pump fail because of a bearing going bad.

Thanks for the reply, I may just leave it be, I ran it 20 or 30 hours after I put the new belt on, I guess it would have puked by now. At least now I won't have to roll the next belt on! Thanks again for all the help.
