Combines hydro and interchangability

the G hydro is a 4 X 6 (Cubic inch) and the 78-79 Fs had the same basic unit. In 80 i think the F2 went to the 6X6 hydro with a dual hydraulic pump dedicating one section for charge pump pressure. The 4X6 had an internal geroter pump for charge pump. The output shfts are the same but inputs are different g vs f. 4X6's can be interchanged but orientation is different in a few aspects and some work is needed. Also sheaves are different and belt could be an issue. 6X6 cannot be interchaged with 4X6 without major major work.

the serial number on the G is GKS22815HY and my F2 number is F-K42506H it is supposed to be a 79 so they would be pretty compatible then thanks tbran you told me what i was thinking after looking in the agcopartsbooks online my local dealers and salvage yard just told me kknow after looking it up i thought they looked real similar in size what would be a good price to offer for it since it will be going to scrap anyway i have a chance for a spare dairyfarmer

I've never seen a G Hydro. We used to have a few G's in the neighborhood but none were hydro. Had one guy who ran a 6 row John Deere row head on his for a few years.
