Combines Hydro pump alignment

There are others who know more, but I'll tell you what I know. I have never done it but have watched my mechanic. If I recall correctly there is a casting_housing that bolts to the pto housing and then the hydro pump bolt to this casting. The connection between the pto housing and this other casting is where the alignment happens via shims. My mechanic had a really fancy gauge of some sort that he used to determine if the face of the casting was perpendicular to the drive shaft from the pto. Does that make any senseIJ It seems to me that without that gauge you'd be pretty well licked. I had a machine once that had a casting that was bad, never was going to align correctly. Also, last time I replaced the hub_auxilliary hydraulic pump drive pully the new one had a grease fitting to grease those splines. required drilling a hole in that casting. Hope this helps.
