We have mostly wheat with some corn, edible beans, some soybeans, sunflowers, canola, ect. When replacing concaves we go with hi-wide wire and make bottom mount filler bars. We've installed lots of steep pitch helical kits and add a couple when we do it. We get by good with standard pitch also as long is third one from gearbox is extended over top left corner of feeder opening. We don't like using any reverse bars and would suggest to only have one spining in any one location if using them. We don't like seperator grates so we have did several things to smooth it out. We have installed cover kits made of cage material. We have cut it out and bolted in cage material door made by loewen. We have removed every other wire and plugged exposed holes and then cut short pieces of removed wires to tack weld onto wires still installed. For your newer machine with adjustable grate we had loewen make us a new section made of cage material that will bolt right in after removing currant one. Hyper has been leaving all wires in and then cutting and sliding back every other cross bar. Extend every other cylinder bar to discharge and then full length on the rest (loewen has these). We stay with OEM chains (not sure there are any jobbers with that aggresive of slat)
