I am curious if you had to do anything in the area around the cage to eliminate the cage sweepIJ

No we just left it open, and we have not had any trouble, after awhile you get a layer of straw mat over the rotor and that helps keep everthing in the cage. We have changed the two distributor aguers under the rotor.
