One of our neighbor's traded a 1063 for a 2206 the second year they were out, they loved it the first year but after that they wished they had their 1063 back. They had quite a few problems with the 2206 and there aren't as many aftermarket parts for them so they are alot more expensive to rebuild than the older heads. They traded for a 6 row chopping Drago last year and loved it, the Drago will have almost 5,000 acres on it after it's second season so it will be a good test to see how well they hold up. We are running a 963 with water pump bearings and poly but when we upgrade we will either go with a Gerringhoff or Drago.

The new Case 2600 Chopping corn head is priced alot higher than the 2200 series, out of my price range. I was trying to find ouy if everyone that has a late model 2200 is happy with the job it is doing and would buy another.

i am running a 2002 model 2206 with about 4000 acres on it with no problems. The rolls are going to need to be changed after this year crop but it has been a good head, I personal iike it better than the 1063 we traded off. Corn ears do not bounce near as bad because of the slope of the head and it slides better.
