It seems to me that it says in the book that you can and explains how but I may be thinking of a rigid head. not sure. Why would you want to leave that much stubbleIJIJIJ
You can adjust the cutterbar angle so the guards points are higher and it rides more on the back part of the skids. This will help it go over rocks better as well. It will not cut as clean (may be a little ragged)
