Combines I need some tire advice for mud

Been there done that with the mud! Have tryed all combinations with rear asist and also 30.5s still got stuck. Went to 20.8 duals and not the factory ones they plug up, went with Keltchen Tires and rims from Olivia Mn. and went with the wide spacing so it would actually track in like 38inch rows that way they would never plug up then turn the power on combine up and never got stuck again they worked so well all the neighbors went with this set up also even on green machines I think they sold like 5 sets around me. But that set does not work on the 8010s tryed it and still got stuck so we went to 800 metrics and duals and wide spacing now that machine goes where my Quad tracs get stuck. Good luck it sure is no fun geting stuck all the time.

The most economical way to go is to buy a set of Trelleborg 900_60-32 Twin 414 tires and mount them on your 30.5-32 rims. With rear wheel assist, you shoud be able to haul about 150 bu out of most any mud. These tires are not really low compaction, but they work well. You will want to go down to about 12 psi and keep the grain bin below 150 bu. As soon as the ground firms up, pump them back up to about 18 psi. Don't let them get hot going down the highway at 12psi for a long distance! All that flexing is very hard on a tire at 20 mph.

Get rid of the goodyears. they won't hold on hillsides

I hate combining in the mud too! Guys around here (southern Manitoba) who have tried Trellborgs really like them. Much better than rice tires. We have very heavy clay. When its muddy there's still a bottom, so a machine with the right tires won't usually get stuck you just make terrible ruts. Rice tires make the worst ruts because they dig. On my 1688 I put on some Firestone radials which were a big improvment over bias. If we run into mud again I'll try to add rear wheel assist. In our soil heavier machines, like JDs, have to have rice or Trells, when its muddy. Cats require tracks.
