Dad once had a blower put on a l2 he bought and somehow the dealer had reversed the hoses and it was blowing the wrong way. I don't know if you have had the hoses off, but something to check if you have. Also some people have shortened the weight arm and carved some of the divider out in a half moon shape to make it give air a little sooner on the small slopes where sometimes in good corn the shoe gets overloaded before the air can do any good. We did this also and it seemed to help some. Worn linkage can magnify this problem as well. I am assuming that the vanes on the blower are good.

Russ, I have an M2 with sidehill blower and one without. Amazing what it can do for improving capacity in even moderate slopes. If the choke on the fan is open too much it will blow corn out as bad as if you didn't have one. I walked_ran behind the machine watching the shoe to see why we were losing corn. The air choke was nearly wide open. I could see the grain blowing off the air outlet right out the rear of the machine! I adjusted and tweeked the opening until we had acceptable loss. The choke is now open about 1 and 1_2 inches and does a great job. I replaced the hoses a couple of years ago and in the rush got the hoses hooked up wrong at the fan. After a couple of rounds of adjusting and head scratching I figured that one out and switched them back, Much improvement. Steve SCIA
