Gleaner will not end, rest assured. As long as Agco can procure and or build parts for older machines - there are a bunch of Gleaners over 20 yrs old running (a higher % to sales than any brand) and AGCO depends on sales of these parts, beleive me! The Gleaner of today has almost NO parts common to the Gleaners of the pre '80's. The Gleners of the 2010 may have few parts in common with the Gleaners of the 80's-90's, who knows. Common thread is they are all Gleaners.

Have to agree with tbran, did the parts for Allis Chalmers end when Deutz took over or Agco, NO and I found personally that the AC parts became more available in a more timely basis with Agco in charge than Deutz. Deutz didn't want the tractors or combines in particular, they wanted the AC Dealer network for their product and the dealers had a tough time converting Orange to Puke Green customers, they lost alot of the AC dealer base because of it. And the N and R series Gleaners were downsized per specs under Deutz Management, Agco breathed life back into the Gleaner Div. and the Massey Div with the White rotary combine. Agco_White dealers can still get parts for Oliver combines in my area, and Agco_Gleaner dealers have no problems with the CII which are close to 40 yrs old. I do believe that Agco is in it for the long haul with parts and service for present and pre-Agco machines.
