I couldn't agree with you more! These are incredible tractors. Front suspenstions are now starting to arrive on the Tier III engined versions which will take them to the next level. I think what it will take to get the AGCO tractors into respectable market share status will be upgraded dealership facilities. Here in Nebraska_Dakotas we have a huge dichotomy in dealerships. Some facilities are modern and up to date, while others look like 19th century blacksmith shops. The latter will obviously not work for these modern hi-tech tractors. I think these low quality facilities need to _____ or get off the proverbial pot. They do more damage to AGCO's reputation than help regardless of what numbers they sell. Agco is way too good nowdays to be mired in excuses why dealer facilities can't improve. Deere dealers are for the most part always expanding or improving - even the family owned operations.

I own a Rt 150 with that CVT trans. The local Case-IH dealer heard about my purchase and stopped over and asked for a ride. So we headed down the road at 27mph and I told him "I was going to throw this trans. into reverse." He grabbed everything he could to hang on to, but that trans. slowed itself all the way down to zero mph and then backed up WITHOUT ONE BUMP in the transmission. He told me " he would not have believed anyone if they would have told them it was that smooth, unless he rode in it himslef". Now if AGCO can only market it !! Maybe their marketing department should ride in one.

Agco is the best kept secret in the country.I have a DT-225,and RT-130 (both 18sps with mfd),and everyone who has looked or rode in them has been impressed,and the CVT tranny should only make things better.

I must agree with you. We just bought a DT200 with CVT. Best thing since sliced bread! Best part, besides the smoothness of the transmission and air ride cab, is that we will never have to replace a clutch. JD claims to have a great thing with the IVT, but there is still a clutch. I love the infinite speed selection teamed with the SISU engine. Fuel efficient and works like a brute. Marc

Sadly no. Everytime I want to at the farm show someones always driving it. But that "overdrive mode" I think its called, sure would save fuel. Also the "Pedal Mode" looks to be nice for running a buggy. Did you get to try thatIJ Take care, Nathan

Rode in a Massey 8460 with CVT and was very impressed. Wish I could afford one. Agco's purchase of Fendt made this tranny possible. Agco does have great products but they need to get the word out and somehow get these color-blind guys to see the light. I tell my deere buddies about the CVT and the Sisu engines and they just laugh. If they only knew what they're missing.

You said it! I test drove a new Challenger a few days ago and its nice too. But its better looking in red! Seriously, we had a 8280 MF for 3 years and it was one of the best tractors this farm has ever seen. We're trading a 4960 JD in on a 8480 MF this fall. I can't wait.

They need to make Firestone tires standard and forget the Michilens.Big difference between the 2 tires in putting the power to the ground.I told that to Agco too.
