we twisted a shaft on the rotor gearbox we removed it replaced the shaft all bearings checked all gears were down for two days...why 30 to 60 days no one can afford to havea harvester down for this long i think you have been ripped off

Thanks for your reply. I am getting tired of all the bulls@n$. from our local dealer, which they own 3 of them. For an example i ordered a bearing on may 5 2000 and i have not received it yet. Bearning for the variable fan, gave up and went to our local JD dealer, simple- clutch bearing for a JD 3020 and they had it in stock. I feel my 2188 is in great shape, if i get it sold i don't have to go back to them.

I bight the bull by the horns and call them, I must admit I had not heard of the name, but they are a recognized rebuilder in MO, ph 800-222-7129 and get it straight from the horses mouth.

RMK, Reading your last post got me thinking about the same way as to local dealership. Why is it that you wish to sometimes get a simple answer and if the farmer knows too much they turn the other wayIJ I needed to replace a selenoid on a 1660 that provides power to the engine starter and I asked the Mech. if he could come and do a service on it. No, too busy....2 minutes later with part in hand he is backing out with truck on service call. I guess 5 miles out of town is too close for him. GRRRRRRR JWK
