Winter wheat here starts in late July, followed by barley, spring wheat, canola (a little farther north) in August and September. Dry beans, flax follow. The soybeans are beginning to yellow, and may be ready in late September. If sugarbeets, the "campaign" starts around October 1. Sunflowers and corn can go into November and December if the season is late. let's see... that's six different months. Harvest can get very long. Most of us have a number of these crops. I have six. Some have nine or more.
