The only information that I know of for this topic is referred to in the discussion thread dated below. I would suggest contacting Rodono for more information. "bigpower" seems to be the knowledgeable one on the subject. I would try the new wide spread chopper, that is on the R-series now. I haven't seen it working yet, but Claas is talking about spreading over 30 feet surely.

We have the redekop on our 480R's and they do a very good job of spreading. We were not happy with the standard chopper they had, but this one seems to do the trick - esp in tough conditions.

I can get you the name and address of the grower who utilized the original Cat_Claas chopper rotor but added the longer+heavier Rodono knives. It seemed to make the difference, the extra inertia made the spread and the chop alot wider and more uniform.

I am still looking for anyone who has tried this change. I know that my Cat dealer is looking for this type of info as well. Seems to me that that Cat combine is now in southern Alberta. Finning in Edmonton had something to do with it but then the salesman in charge moved somewhere. In my conversation with Rodono it seemed like the 9750 was having some problems with spread at least not as good a spread as the older deeres. My chop is good enough but the spread lacks.
