Combines IJIJ 800 Series Head on an R40IJIJ

I ran a 820 on my 89 R40 and it worked great.

If your combine has the reel drive system on it (as opposed to on the head),you can run the 800's. You may also have to convert the header height control back to the old style with the 3 springs. I'm not positive on this, but I think the 800's all came with the new header height system on them. It's not difficult or all that expensive to switch them back - we had to on our 815. Tom langan

I think I kept the switches _ wiring harness etc. when I converted my 500 series to the newer AHHC with the potentiometers. let me know if you want it. You can have it for free just have to pay the shipping from Ontario.

is your combine setup for the potentiometers IJ I ony had to convert the header over..wasn't that big of a job...it's been a couple of years but I think the kit for the header was about $250 USD. It came with everything including instructions.
