WE HAD THE SAME TOUBlE ON 1996 R-62 .WHEN SWITCH BURNED OUT ON HIGH SPEED. IT ACTUAllY MElTED PlUG ON WIRING HARNESS.EVEN WITH NEW SWITCH DASH IS HOT IN THAT AREA WHEN ON.I THINK IT DRAWS MORE AMPS THEN THE SWITCH CAN HANDlE.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Haven't torn into the dash yet. Still waiting on the switch to show up on UPS but if the rain keeps up here I'll have time to get her going.
